Lyon agrees to transfer Benzema to Real Madrid

Lyon has confirmed that Real Madrid has offered 32 million euros for Karim Benzema, a muslim football player. “Lyon has announced its agreement to transfer Karim Benzema to Real Madrid,” said a statement on Lyon’s website. some beleive that Zinidine Zidane, advisor to Real Madrid’s president Perez, has recommended Benzema to the club.

Benzema expressed his desire to move to Real Madrid a few days ago, which has always been his favourite club. Lyon negotiated the deal with Real and Karim Benzema is expected to sign a six year contract with Real Madrid.

It is amazing to see that many of the famous football players are Muslims. So I have put together a list of top 10 Muslim footballers, this is my list of players, if you think otherwise please share it with us. Feel free to comment. So here we go:

1. Zinedine Zidane (Retired)
Zinedine Yazid Zidane , know as Zizou worldwide, was born 23 June 1972 in Marseille, France. His parents, Ismail and Malika, both Muslims, emigrated from  Algeria in 1953. He is married to Véronique and has 4 sons Enzo, Luca, Theo, and Elyaz. Zizou began his international career gainst the Czech Republic on 17 August 1994. He scored both of the goals in that game to draw the game 2-2. He has been awarded FIFA Player of the Year in 1998, 2000, 2003, and 2006. He has also Won Golden Ball — European MVP award for leading France to victory …
